Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how GHInvest ("GHInvest", "we", "us"), operated by KSquare Africa in Accra, Ghana, collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data when you use the GHInvest mobile application and related services (the "Service"). We process personal data in accordance with Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843).

1. Information we collect

• Account information — your name, email address, phone number, username, and date of birth / age confirmation (you must be 18+).
• Identity verification (KYC) — where required, government ID details and images, a selfie, and employment, income and tax information, to meet legal and anti‑fraud obligations.
• Financial information — your wallet balance, transaction history, deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and the payment or payout methods you link (such as mobile money, bank account or card details, which are handled by our payment partners).
• Activity — the markets you create or trade, your simulated portfolio, friends and social interactions within the app.
• Technical data — device identifiers, app version, IP address, and usage and diagnostic information used to operate, secure and improve the Service.

2. How we use your information

• To create and operate your account and provide the Service.
• To verify your identity and age, and to prevent fraud, money laundering and abuse.
• To process deposits, withdrawals, transfers and payouts.
• To send verification codes, security alerts and service notifications.
• To keep the Service secure and to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations.
• To improve and develop new features.

3. How we share information

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run the Service, under appropriate safeguards, including:

• Google / Firebase — authentication, database, hosting, notifications and analytics.
• SendGrid (Twilio) — email delivery; SMS providers — phone verification codes.
• Payment partners (such as Paystack and Hubtel) — to process deposits and withdrawals.
• Regulators, auditors and law enforcement — where required by law.

4. International transfers

Some of our providers process data outside Ghana. Where we transfer data internationally, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is protected to a standard consistent with this policy and applicable law.

5. Data retention

We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active and as long as needed to provide the Service, and thereafter as required to meet legal, financial and regulatory obligations (for example, transaction and KYC records). You can request deletion of your account from within the app.

6. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you can export your data and activity from within the app (Settings → Data). To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below. You may also lodge a complaint with Ghana's Data Protection Commission.

7. Security

We protect your account with measures including encryption in transit, identity verification, optional two‑factor authentication and an in‑app lock. No system is completely secure, so please keep your verification codes and password private and never share them with anyone.

8. Children

GHInvest is strictly for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the "Last updated" date above.
